Background:

Karen L. Dawson B.Mus. (Class I), J.D. Barrister and Solicitor (Lawyer)

Karen received her Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto in 2006 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2007. She also holds a Bachelor of Music (Class I) from Queen's University.

Karen joined Bennett Best Burn in 2011 as a litigation associate and practises primarily in the areas of corporate/commercial, real estate, and construction lien litigation. Other areas of experience include class actions, travel law, employment law, and environmental litigation.

Karen has appeared before all levels of Ontario courts, including the Court of Appeal, as well as the Federal Court of Canada and numerous administrative tribunals.

Karen is a member of the Canadian and Ontario Bar Associations, The Advocates' Society, and a volunteer with Pro Bono Law Ontario.
