Background:
Larry has practiced as a civil litigation trial lawyer for twenty-four years. He has wide trial experience in plaintiff and defence personal injury claims, insurance law, commercial. contract disputes, real estate litigation, carriage claims, and employment law. Larry has appeared before administrative tribunals such as L.L.B.O. and W.C.A.T., and all levels of court in this country - Ontario Court (General and Criminal Division), Provincial Court (Criminal Division), Ontario Court of Appeal, Federal Court of Canada, Supreme Court of Canada. He is experienced in alternative dispute resolution (ADR) and has represented clients in arbitrations, mediations and fair market valuation proceedings. Larry Pick was called to the Ontario bar in 1977. He received his honours history degree from Queen's University in 1972, and his L.L.B. from Queen's University in 1975. He is a former partner of Bassel, Sullivan & Leake and a founding partner of Bennett Best Burn LLP. Larry is a member of the York County Law Association, Advocates Society and the Ontario Bar Association. Larry has co-chaired lectures in the law Society of Upper Canada Continuing Legal Education Program and has authored papers for the Canadian Produce Marketing Association and other interest groups. In the area of sports, he has managed Nancy Green and MacKenzie league ski teams and has managed softball teams in youth and community leagues.
