Nicholas A. Best B.A., LL.B. Barrister and Solicitor (Lawyer)

Nick practices corporate commercial law with particular emphasis in recent years on mergers and acquisitions. His clients are both domestic and international in scope and represent such varied industries as communications, commercial lending, medical laboratories, manufacturers and distributors, insurance, food production, and joint ventures.

Nick handles all types of corporate matters from incorporation to winding-up including shareholder agreements and disputes, reorganizations and tax planning. He has acted for clients in several types of financing structures, both lender and borrower. He is a director of numerous corporations and is actively involved both as a director and advisor to several non-profit corporations. Nick is the Firm representative and currently the President and a Director of IGAL, Intercontinental Grouping of Accountants and Lawyers, of which the Firm has been a member for several years.

He received both his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Toronto and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1968. He is a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation and the Ontario Bar Association.
